Join us on Monday, April 28th at 8pm for a fun-filled virtual class on how to make sourdough bread! Sourdough Society's very own baker will be hosting alongside her partner in crime, Soph.
Note: You must purchase or make your own starter.

It's best to keep starter in an environment between 70-75 degrees.
What you will need:

Flour (bread flour is ideal)

Water (filtered or non-chlorinated is best)

Salt (fine sea salt or kosher salt)

Sourdough starter (active and bubbly)

Mixing bowl (large)

Digital kitchen scale (for accurate measurements)

Bench scraper (for handling and dividing dough)

Dough whisk or spoon (for initial mixing)

Proofing basket (banneton) or a bowl with a towel for shaping

Dutch oven (for baking with steam)

Lame or sharp razor blade (for scoring the dough)

Plastic or glass container (for storing starter)

Thermometer (optional, to check dough or water temperature)
